PapersLead.com came to our attention when a student came to our site looking for a review on the service. We determined that, since the company had been in business for 6 years, it was a good time to conduct a PapersLead review and provide students with some solid, factual information about the company. We used the same criteria that we use for all writing website reviews and looked at the same factors – the website content, reviews and comments we found on the web, Papers Lead testimonials that exist on the company website, and our experience posing as a student and ordering a research paper. We offer the following review summary.

Quality of the Services Offered

Quality can only be determined by the products that customers receive. If we look at only the Papers Lead student reviews that we find on the site, we would determine that quality is clearly superior. However, because those are sometimes a bit suspect, we look for reviews elsewhere on the web. In the case of this company we had to dig a bit deeper, because we learned through a study of the website, that students were given PapersLead discounts and reward points if they wrote favorable reviews for publication on consumer review websites. We then went to social media to find additional feedback and found very mixed reviews. While some students stated that the products they received were acceptable, others complained about the resources that were used and the quality of composition.

The research paper that we received reflected some of the same issues that had raised complaints. While the site claims to use only native-English writers, we do not believe this is always the case. Incidents of word usage and incorrect verb tenses, as well as incorrect use of articles, lead us to believe that our paper was written by a non-native English speaker.

The company does, nevertheless, offer a full array of academic products and services for students at any academic level, and, as everyone stated, the products are delivered on time.

We expected to find more detailed information about products, because there are links to the most common type of orders. When clicking on those links, however, we found the same information on each page – information about the process and the discount and rewards – no information about the writing genre at all. This was disappointing.

We were unable to find any PapersLead.com BBB membership or rating.

Writers and Customer Support Agents

Very little information is provided about writers on the site, other than to say that they all have Master’s or Ph.D. degrees and that they are assigned to order based upon their credentials. We would suggest that the company consider publishing some sample writings so that potential customers can gauge quality for themselves.

We contact customer support with a variety of questions about writing products. For example, the company advertises that it produces dissertations for doctoral candidates. Yet in the order form, there is no opportunity to select dissertation work. We asked a customer service rep about this and could get no answer other than to write about our dissertation need in the field for additional information. This is not acceptable. PapersLead reviews of customer support and writer information are only “Fair.”

Prices and Discounts

PapersLead prices are within the low-average range in comparison. A high school essay with a 21-day deadline is $10/page and a doctoral level piece with an urgent deadline is $40.25/page. When we placed our actual order, however, for a college level research paper of 8 pages with 4 resources and a 7-day deadline, we were initially quoted a price of $212.00 – quite high. But then we were told that there was a limited time 50% off offer which brought the price down to $106.00 – a price below average.

Papers Lead promo codes are evidently available via the email newsletter which customers can sign up for. In addition, there is a complex set of discounts plans set up based upon “liking” the company Facebook page, for writing a favorable review and/or for referring other customers. The actual amounts of discounts are not revealed nor is there any PapersLead coupon code for these discounts that we could find. There are also reward points to be earned based upon total page ordered and referring others that enable customers to purchase a number of items.

The company spends far more time promoting its discounts and rewards than it does on providing details about writer expertise or sample writings for customers to review. We believe this is a mistake and it taints the reviews that are out there.

Additional freebies and Benefits

The company offers a free bibliography page and revisions. Other than that we found no other freebies. Benefits all revolve around the discounts and reward points to be earned.

Do We Recommend It?

We can state that papers lead is safe, and customers should not be concerned with breaches of personal or financial information. Beyond that, however, we do have misgivings about quality and the lack of information about writers and products. Overall, our PapersLead.com rating is “Fair.”
