Tutoreye.com is an online tutoring platform that does not provide academic research and writing products. It does, however, offer homework help and tutoring in all subjects for students at all study levels, something that many other writing services offer. This Tutoreye review evaluate those tutoring services, so that students who need this kind of help will have a clear picture of quality and service.

Quality of Services Offered

To determine quality, we first reviewed the entire website. While some pages were well-written, others held compositional errors which are common to ESL writers. This might cause concern for students in need of English tutoring.

We also looked at on-site Tutoreye testimonials, Tutor Eye student reviews we were able to find on the web, and carefully reviewed several of the profiles of the registered tutors.

Unfortunately, the profiles do not give a lot of information. The student selects from among a list of tutors by subject area, but many do not have degrees in those subject fields. This is a bit of a red flag.  

And to get to that list of tutors, students must provide their email addresses and then get a confirmation email to finalize their registration. This means that the company can then “badger” those who end up not using their services.

Writers and Customer Support Agents

Obviously, there are no writers – just tutors. Again, we found that many of them do not have academic degrees in the areas in which they are tutoring.

The company also says that tutoring is available 24/7. If a student is working with a single tutor, this is hardly possible.

Some of the Tutoreye reviews that we read stated that their tutors were a bit slow during conversations and video chats, and this added to their cost, since they were paying by time used.

Others complained that the only way to contact customer support was to leave a message and wait for a response. We called the phone number listed for the company, and were only able to get a message to leave our name and phone number. This occurred at all different times of day and night

Pricing and Discounts

Tutoreye prices involve four package plans. Students can pay as they go, paying $15/30 minutes. Other plans offer a variety of options, but all required a one-time registration fee up front. You will not find any Tutoreye.com discounts, nor are the new customer tutor Eye promo codes. We did send a message asking if there was a Tutoreye coupon code for any type of discount and did not receive a response.

Additional Freebies and Features

Basically, there are none. There is, however, a “Student Ambassador” program in which students are used to market and promote the company. The details are a bit unclear.

We did not find a Tutoreye.com BBB membership, and we always look for that.

Conclusion

Is Tutoreye safe? Yes, it is. But we do see issues with this service. We are assigning a Tutoreye.com rating of “Fair.”
